She felt overwhelmingly fatigued and found it very difficult to keep awake. The cigarette was burned into the ashtray so he lit another one and remained quiet. He picked up the beer and took a large swig letting out a long sigh. Walking back, he sank into the chair with a deep sigh. Vitorio open his mouth ready to say something but he closed it again deciding against it. “Something is bothering you,” Mauritsio insisted. “Oh, that’s great, thank you,” he murmured absentmindedly How could Vitorio miss all that noise? What was bothering him? “I said that I am finished with taking the photos and I already sent them to Jorrit.” He had come into the room whistling joyfully and kept on whistling while transferring the photos to the computer and e-mailing them to Jorrit. “You didn’t hear me?” he asked in shocked surprise. “What?” he said startled, and turned to face Mauritsio. Now we wait, right?” he said out loud, snapping Vitorio out of his troubling thoughts. Taking the card out of the camera, he sat in front of the computer and transferred the images of Arielle in captivity into his file and sent them to Jorrit.
